My name is Jaimie. I am 22 years old and have been working in child care for 5 years, including volunteer work with AmeriCorp and babysitting. I began as a substitute teacher with Putnam County schools, then worked as a toddler teaching assistant at a local daycare, and worked my way to my most recent position as a lead infant teacher for two years at a local child care facility. I left to explore other career options, but ultimately decided to continue working with children. I also have experience in elderly care-giving (including meal prep, housework, etc) and volunteering in the special education community. I love children and, as a nanny or teacher, enjoy getting to do many projects with them, such as arts/crafts, outdoor play, or reading time. I am CPR/First Aid certified, and have a paraprofessional license from TN Tech. My personal hobbies include writing, art, and hiking.
