Happily married to my best friend and we're going on 10 years of "bliss" lol. Our plan after my youngest was born, was for me to go back to work. But things don't always go as planned. My youngest suffered moderate/severe brain damage caused by lack of oxygen not provided to him by NICU staff. This resulted in a left cerebral infarct (stroke) and cluster brain bleeds. He is now diagnosed with cerebral palsy and sensory processing disorder. I don't share this to receive any kind of condolences, etc. But to know me, is to know my children, and to better understand my personal circumstances. Despite the rocky road we continue to travel, my family and I remain optimistic, and grateful. A happy heart and mind will overcome anything. More about my experience with children: I am the oldest of 4-to 3 younger brothers (go figure I'd have all boys of my own). I have been taking care of children since I was a child myself. My maternal side is strong and I have always had a sense of purpose when it comes to caring for our precious children. There is something so sacred in having a relationship with our kids and being entrusted with your children. I have nannied and babysat for many families, most of which I remain in contact with. I have several references, so please feel free to ask for them!! If im lucky enough to babysit/nanny for your family, I'll be sure to always be engaged and attentive to your child(ren)s needs. We enjoy being outside a lot when it isn't raining, and I like to keep an active schedule that keeps our kiddos learning and exploring.
