I wanted to tell you a bit about myself and how I got into working as a nanny: I am of Romanian descent and I was a first generation American-Romanian born in the Los Angeles area. I say this because it is important to know about my background, upbringing and experience. Being born into a newly immigrated European family where the culture is very different to the American culture. My first language was Romanian, and I learned English at school. I have been fluent in both languages ever since... I was surrounded by large families, therefore I was always babysitting and practically raised several children from being newborns to adolescence and adulthood...I also have several godchildren whom I have played a large role in their upbringing and raising them. I have always had very strong maternal instincts, where caring for children came very natural and provided a great joy for me! My family's business ended up becoming caring for the elderly, in Residential Care Facilities for the elderly. So I was around elderly and exposed to the medical field and has become part of my world ever since. That is how I acquired a great and vast knowledge and one on one experience with practicing medicine...and caring for the elderly and children... As much I loved caring for the elderly, my heart has always wanted to care for children...To see the world through their eyes and make an impact in their lives, that will last eternally...I believe very strongly that living in the world we do, that the children and coming generations need to have someone in their lives caring for them with unconditional love and someone who will never stop believing in them and cheering them to become the greatest versions of themselves, they can and know they are destined to be!
