Sitter in Ankeny, Iowa

I'm a mother of 6, grandmother of 1. My youngest is 1 and the rest are out of the home now. My grandson is 4 and in preschool in Ankeny. I am a certified Doula. I retired from corporate america in 2014 (after my grandson was born). I have primarily taken to caring for newborns to help mothers who need a little help in getting their little ones on a schedule as they adjust back into working. I am posting on this site because I had committed to watching a mother's newborn (which I began when he was 6 weeks of age at the beginning of 2015.) They soon were expecting their second child (May of 2017). The mother was to return to work just this past week but made a decision to become a SAHM; which I certainly support, but I was given no notice and now have interest in seeing if any other mothers need help with their children. Please note, I am not a licensed provider in Iowa. I merely provide care to those that need assistance. I also CLEAN and DO LAUNDRY :) You can expect a very personal and unique experience, and other than my 1 year old daughter, a commitment to caring solely for your little ones.
