I am a single father of a six-year-old son, his name is Landon. I am one of four children one brother two sisters. Come from a very family-oriented atmosphere, that's how I was raised. My mother ran an in home daycare center from the time I was a baby all the way through High School. So I've been around young children my entire life, she took care of 0 to 2 years. Believe me she put us to work, lol. I can do feedings & change diapers with the best of em. My specialty is walking &calming infants to sleep. I also helped raise my sister's four children while she was working and I was finishing up school. My job experience entails being a firefighter for six and a half years until a career-ending injury force me to medically retire. I decided to go back to school and get my second degree in respiratory therapy. I have extensive experience & training in emergency medicine, healthcare, & emergency situations in general with my career path. I have been working on & off in the Respiratory Therapy field for the last 6 years or so however I am looking to take a little break from the hospital scene. I have many skills as far as children go, I am a great cook, I am very active and can keep up with any age from infant to young toddler. I can understand some concern apprehension about having a male nanny or babysitter but I am completely comfortable around babies & kids. I'm sure once you meet me in person you will see for yourself and feel at ease and comfortable with my personality and integrity. I am extremely laidback, in that I do not get flustered or stressed. I'm very good at multitasking & paying attention to detail. Both were qualities I was taught by my first Fire Captain. I'm a little old fashioned in some areas such as hard work, honesty, & compassion are three pillars I live by. Integrity is everything to me! I live locally here in Gilroy. I'm swift water/flood rescue certified by the way. I was on the Search & Rescue Team for the two fire departments I had the privilege to work with. I started out and Chico's fire department for 3 years and transfer down to San Diego's fire department where I finish my career. I'm very handy around the house, worked in construction on and off throughout my young life, also ran my own painting business and know my way around. I've I experienced a lot and learned a lot throughout my life and apply all of what I have learned everyday. A little about my son he lives with his mother I see him every other weekend and I was a stay-at-home father prior to his mother and I separating and getting a divorce. I'm confident in my capabilities and comfortable in any atmosphere. I graduated #1 in my fire academy & #2 at the Respiratory Therapy University. I'm certified in many areas such as cpr/EMT, search & rescue, etc... available upon request.
