Hello! I am looking for a full time position with around 30-50 hours per week. I'll start by telling you a little about myself! My name is Sammie and I have a great love for children and a good amount of experience working with them. I worked at a child care center in Gig Harbor called Little Steps Learning Center for 2 1/2 years working with children ages 1-5. My job responsibilities at Little Steps included preparing daily snacks and meals, playing with children indoors and outdoors, setting up and leading activities, crafts and stations, cleaning the center, changing diapers, and putting children down for naps. Before that I had a summer nanny job with two neighborhood children and I also grew up watching my 3 younger siblings along with countless babysitting jobs. Over the years I have really learned a lot about taking care of children. I loved working at Little Steps Learning Center but I sadly had to leave due to the fact that I was relocating. Now that I'm moving back to the Seattle area I am looking for a new adventure and something where I can work with children again! I think it's extremely important to build relationships with the families and children I work with and also to help the children learn and grow as individuals. Children and so bright and willing to learn and it's important to help them with that and encourage it by doing crafts and activities and not just sitting around the house, which is why I love to get out and be active and always try to make things fun and interesting.
