As a teen and young adult, I've watched children for friends and family members as well as neighbors and have been doing so for well over a decade. I trained as an EMT-B and also have tons of experience working with animals as I rescue cats and kittens. I am most comfortable with newborns, infants, and toddlers, as most of my experience comes from interacting with children of this age. I am extremely comfortable with animals including very large dogs as I grew up on a ranch surrounded by animals of every shape and size. I love watching children grow, and knowing that I am a happy part of their day. I also enjoy being someone a parent can trust to put the safety and well being of their family first. Friends started calling me the "baby whisperer" after a friend of ours had a little girl who would not calm down for anyone but me. Her parents often had to call me in the middle of the night to help settle her when she was upset, colicky, or sick, and I was always happy to do so.
