Hello! My name is Allison and I am a 19 year old college student and I just finished my first year of college at OSU, I really enjoyed living here but I have an undeclared major and honestly have no idea what I want to study right now! So this summer I plan on either moving in with my sister who lives in Beaverton or moving back home to McMinnville and will taking community college classes out there in the fall (Basically I’m trying to save money and pay off my loans from my first year at OSU). I am a very indecisive person so I don’t really know what I want to do, but all I’ve ever known is that I enjoy talking to people and love working with children! I used to want to be a teacher but with the economy right now I’m not sure if I really want to go to school for that. So instead of getting a random little minimum wage job this summer, I figured I could get a job being a nanny/babysitter since I would be getting paid to do something I really enjoy, which is working with children. I have a younger brother who is seven years younger than me who I grew up babysitting a lot, and also have experience babysitting other kids such as cousins and family friends. I also have experience working at the day care from my high school(junior and senior year.) I feel like taking care of kids comes naturally to me and is something that I truly enjoy, I like reading to them, going outside and being active, or just staying in and doing some crafts (I love finding fun ideas on pinterest!) I am a very outgoing and kind of goofy person which I feel helps me when interacting with children.
