Hello! Where to start... My name is Amanda, I am a 29 yr old, self motivated, female. I spend a lot of my free time playing/ hiking outdoors, always enjoy discovering new things and going on adventures. I love to draw, colour, play with my pets, go for drives/ road trips, read and hula. I am always cooking or baking - I take pride in maintaining a healthy diet. My native tongue is english and I am TESOL certified - that being said, I have experience in creating fun lesson plans and ways of teaching the language (good for the little ones who may be learning to read, write or simply learning the alphabet). As well, I have recent training in first aid and CPR (will need renewing, as it has just expired). I have practiced first aid and and general safety, under OHS guidelines/ standards, on the construction site. Throughout 2016, I held the title of Site Safety for my crew and was responsible for cleaning, bandaging and assessing wounds for further medical care. I have held valid tickets for first aid and CPR for the last six consecutive years. On another note, I have been in a strong leadership role for the last few years, in my current trade, and posses the skills necessary to create and maintain a good rapour with people as well as give direction, instill motivation and confidence. Now, I haven't been in the field of child care for many years - but don't let this scare you! I am normally found running around with the kids at any friend/family gathering - obviously, I am looking for a major change in career. I am a lover, not a fighter. I found that my current career has lost its luster for me, it requires one to be very hard and constantly deal with a very harsh environment and people. Naturally, I am a tender person with an exuberant amount of love to give - So, I've decided to leave it all behind and start a new. I say this all to you now, because I want everything to be clear and out on the table, the only sure way of knowing ones character is to meet with them face to face.
