Hi, My name is Brianna Doran. I am 20 years old and during the school year I attend Eastern Connecticut State University where I am a junior. I am not entirely sure if I am planning on returning to ECSU in the fall or if I am going to transfer to a community college to continue my education. If I stay home, then I will be able to babysit for you all year round! However at ECSU, I major in Early Childhood Education, and Special Education. I have a lot of experience in the childcare field professionally. For example, for two years I was an assistant teacher at an elementary school. Some of my responsibilities there consisted of working with a group of children, tutoring, using new methods of teaching, creating a fun and developmental schedule for my group of children, playing games, making and distributing the snack, and clean up at the end of the day. I also helped out and administered basic first aid (scrapes, bumps, and bruises) as well as fill out the "accident report" for the parent. I worked closely with the parents emailing them everyday after the children left to keep them updated on progress and behavioral issues (if any). I also worked as a camp counselor for 2 years where I performed many of the same responsibilities. However, at the camp I worked closely with kids on the Autism Spectrum and was emailing parents more in depth about the behavioral issues, and the progress they have made dealing with their autism. I really enjoy working with kids, and I am now trying to "branch out" and work more closely with kids, in a much smaller group. I feel that I would make a great babysitter because of my previous experience and I would really like to learn more about your children! Also, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask!
