Part-time nanny position, Eugene (potential full-time beginning in May) We seek a part-time experienced nanny, to assist with care of newborn and drop off of our 2 1/2 year old to her preschool. Both parents are professionals, with two young daughters. Our typical schedule would include arriving at 730 AM, assisting with getting the children ready for the day, dropping off the 2 ½ year old at preschool, and watching the newborn, ending the day at 2PM. We may ask for you to pick-up from preschool at times as well. Primary responsibility is providing nurturing, safe care for children, though occasional errands would include dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, mailing packages, and grocery shopping. In addition, occasional meal preparation for the home is requested. Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 730AM – 2PM, Occasional Wednesday 730 – 9AM Salary: Depending on experience. Mileage reimbursement. Responsibilities: Newborn care (feeding, diapering, naptimes, bathing) Toddler care (meal preparation, bathing, toileting) Driving children to school and activities Providing developmentally appropriate educational games Taking children to parks and playgrounds, museums and the zoo Doing children's laundry Tidying up children's rooms, play area and bathrooms Cleaning up in the kitchen Loading, running, and emptying the dishwasher Picking up around the house Family meal preparation Grocery shopping Errand running Job Qualifications and Requirements: High school graduate References required Experience caring for children Training in early childhood education preferred First aid training and child and infant CPR Car, driver’s license, auto insurance, and safe driving history English proficiency Reliable, honest, and trustworthy Physical ability to care for a young child Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision Annual flu vaccination Non-smoker
