Hello! my name is Mary Guynn. I began caring for children after the birth of my sister when I was just 7 years old. From then on I have been fasinated with children and there development. I was a student teacher for my highschool child development and preschool program. After being in that class for three years, I knew I wanted to learn more. I was accepted into Northwest Nannies Institute in the spring and was enrolled the following fall. I have taken courses for communication, child development; covering prenatal to adolescent. As well as health, infant and child care, and one of my favorites, activities. This class helps nannies learn fun, new ways to provide enriching activities for any subject. I also am certified in adult and child CPR as well as first aid. During my time there I completed two internships, each with different familes; one for 17 weeks, the other for 5. I have nannied for ages 3 weeks old to seven years. In those postitions I have been in charge of heavy household chores, meal prep and cooking, safety proofing, diapering; both cloth and disposable, as well as potty learning. Along with mild child tutoring and in home teaching. All while providing a positive and safe enviornment to encourage personal growth and development. I am a fun, loving, creative nanny who is excited to learn from a wide variety of families! :)
