Sitter in Westerville, Ohio

I loved raising my family. However, as a single working mom, I had to rely on sitters for the hours of work that would not let me be home for my children. I was fortunate to find two young women who were exemplary in taking excellent care of my children. The following is a brief list of what was expected from them. I would provide any family with as much, or more. #1 Priority: the safety and happiness of the children. (Age appropriate activities were always discussed with me for clearance, & if I could not be reached, the activity was put on hold for another time.) The sitters were expected to spend as much time with books and reading, inside or outside, and to encourage imaginary games, activities, etc. To aboid the television or, with older children, digital games. Art projects, painting, play dough, legos, etc, were also to be utilized before electronics could be turned on. The sitters were able to make healthy snacks and lunches, avoiding junk foods and pop as much as possible. If time allowed, laundry could be done, and any dishes used would always be cleaned or put away. Toys were also put away before going to a different toy. The house should look reasonably good by the time I got home. These were my requirements, and my sitters followed them to a "T". All outings were discussed before I left, how to reach me was clarified, and what to do in case of injury or suspected illness was all wrtten down to avoid panic or a wrong turn. As a sitter for someone else's child, I would expect to do the same types of things I asked of my sitters. However, if the parent has different philosophies regarding snacks, tv, or any instructions at all, I will follow the parent's guidelines exactly as given. I greatly enjoy playing and taking care of babies and children, walking dogs, etc., and making life easier for working families in general. I know what it means, as I have been there. My only restrictons are that I rarely drive at night, as I have less than great night vision. Othrr than that, I always have my flexible shoes with me. My email address is [email protected].
