I may be a little biased because I'm the eldest of 5 siblings, but I have a long history and love for taking care of kids. You may be reluctant to hire a teenager as a babysitter, but worry not! I have been babysitting since as along as I can remember, but started getting paid for it when I was 13 and took care of a 4-year-old. At 14-15, I frequently over night babysat 4 young boys of the ages of 2, 4, 6 & 7. I frequently take care of small children from my church. And, at home I have 4 younger siblings of the ages 2, 4, and 10. I currently babysit a 7-year-old girl right now. Due to my history of babysitting and helping with my own sibling growing up, I am comfortable and capable of taking care of all ages including small infants all the way to preteens. I understand your worries as a parent, however I will always be sure to take care of your child as if it was a family member of my own, and make sure their priorities go first. I have strong natural patience with children and tend to be fun but will remain on schedule with kids.
