Nice to meet you! My name is Deanna and I am 21 years old. I am an academic mentor at Roosevelt Middle School. Prior to the pandemic, I ran my own basketball enrichment after school, supported 7th grade math, and helped my own class with all of their academic and social-emotional needs. My true passion is serving the youth in any way I possibly can. I am active and knowledgable. I have played sports throughout my life such as basketball, football, and softball. I do everything in my power to ensure the safety of my students and to ensure that they are caught up with school work, but also that they understand what they are doing. My work day with the school ends at 3pm, however I would like to extend my services to other families. I understand that many children do not have the educational support they did while in school, or the basic stimulation from doing hands-on activities.
