Hello, to whoever may be reading this! I am currently in the United States Navy, which may be an odd pairing for babysitting on paper but it has been something I have done since I was 18 for friends and family. I took child development for 2 years in high school where I learned how kids develop through their adolescence and eventually I was taking in small groups of children as a teacher assistant! Once I graduated high school, I started working as a caregiver for special needs individuals of all ages. Doing that really taught me a lot about patience and the way you communicate is very crucial to getting your point across to children and those with developmental impairments. Besides my job and attending uni to earn my degree in media, culture, and communication at NYU, I am getting back into babysitting on the side as I am able too with my work schedule and college full time. I have a recent co-worker from my last duty station who I babysat for a lot while he worked and became pretty popular with his kids, so feel free to ask for references as I know in these times, having a guy as a babysitter is not the most common thing haha.
