Hi there! My name is Sydney Battice and I am currently a student at the University of Ottawa taking my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I enjoy eating healthy and staying active by doing yoga, biking, and various sports. I also really enjoy playing games and art and could work on crafts like drawing and painting with your children. Now that I am home for the summer, I have full-time availability to care for children! Having one younger brother, age of 4, I have had the amazing opportunity to help take care of him from the time he was born until now. You would think having a child in the house going through the toddler stages would have been hard to deal with while I go through the trials and tribulations of high school, but I can honestly say it was an amazing time of my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world. It showed me that I have the qualities needed to care for children and ultimately in becoming a nurse; patience, respect, caring, creative mind and loving. I have also babysat for a local family, expanding my experience with various ages of children and ones not related to me. I believe in creating a positive, warm, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I have good organizational and communication skills, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny. I will be a nanny that is there to support, care and entertain your child.
