Hello, my name is Emily and I am a student at Grand Canyon University. I have a passion for working with children and plan to be a pediatric nurse after graduating. I have always helped taking care of children both related to me and of family friends. At 15 I obtained a job through the City of Phoenix as a lifeguard. The following year I became a swim instructor. For three years I have worked with children of all ages how to swim at different levels. My specialty was working with 3-5-year-olds and providing them with a fun and entertaining swim experience. Over these years I have spent lots of time around children and their parents as well and developed great relations with them. I have been first aid and CPR certified for four years and through this job have gained a strong sense of responsibility and love for children.
