I'm a mother who has also worked with children in a professional setting for several years. I took several early childhood development classes in college. However, what a surprise it is bringing home your first child, no classes could have prepared me (I had to learn from hands-on experience.). I love children and now mine is grown. I'm very kind, patient, and enjoy listening to children. Children see the world through fresh eyes. My Philosophy, get out in nature, take time to notice the beauty of small things, focus on the world differently, rediscovering the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in. I believe that if you guide a child with positive love and nurture their sense of wonder they grow to be well-adjusted adults. We need to remember we raise our children to leave us, to have a better life then we did, but then maybe we can move in with them.
