Seeking an experienced nanny to provide care to our children (ages 1, 2 & 8) from our scent-free, non-smoking home starting in September 2018. JOB DESCRIPTION Maintain a safe and healthy home environment, supervise and care for children, prepare them for rest periods, prepare formulas and change diapers, take to and from school and to extra curricular activities, as required. Bathe, dress, feed children and discipline them according to the methods requested by the parents. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, organize activities such as games and outings for children, help with homework and accompany them to extra curricular activities, as needed. Other duties include preparing and serving nutritious meals, performing cleaning duties, doing laundry, assuming full responsibility for household in absence of parents, including caring for our family cat, as needed. HOURS & RENUMERATION STARTING: Sept 1, 2018 HOURS: 30-44 HRS/Week WAGE: $14/HOUR JOB REQUIREMENTS -3 to 5 years experience caring for children, including babies under 2 years old -2 to 3 years experience caring for a child with a mental health disorder -Criminal record check & References required -Must be willing to work hours that vary day-to-day & week-to-week due the Employers’ occupation PERSONAL SUITABILITY -Takes initiative, excellent written and oral communication skills & interpersonal skills, flexible/reliable -Candidate must demonstrate compassion, patience & ability to multi-task well REQUIRED EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS - Post Secondary Diploma - Standard CPR & First Aid Certificate - Mental health first aid Certificate
