Are you a college student or other responsible adult thats good with kids and looking to move to Monroe County? Live nearby and want an hourly job caring for a happy little boy? Both? I may have a deal for you! Job #1: I'm interviewing for a live in aide/caregiver for my toddler age son. He is a sweet boy, but has autism and developmental delays. Our home has central heat and air, a large fenced backyard with playground equipment, washer-dryer, garbage disposal, and alarms/cameras for safety. You will have your own private carpeted room with dorm fridge, desk, bed, overhead light, closet, etc included. You may choose to bring your own furniture instead if preffered. All utilities, including wifi, are provided. The living room tv has access to some channels, but you would be responsible for extra channels/cable if you wanted them. The wage for this job is comparable to minimum wage or above, but payment is rendered in the form of room and utilities. I am a full time student, and an EMT. I am happy to work with other students on scheduling. This position is mostly for care when I am home or nearby. Another worker (unless you apply for both jobs) will come in during my scheduled classes and work shifts, however there may be some overnights each month you will be required to work. You may also be asked to care for him or guide other employees should a research opportunity arise that takes me out of town. You will have time off as well. Details will all be mutually agreed upon when we speak if you're hired. Duties may include: getting him on/off the school bus, preparing meals/helping with feeding, bathing, therapy projects, outdoor play, potty training/changing diapers, cleaning/sanitizing, report writing/giving, driving, light shopping, etc. Some items may be negotiated, others not. Must be able to speak english fluently, pass a background check and drug screen. No smoking or pets, inside or out, allowed at this time. We do use sage and other incense for spiritual purposes.
