Prudence began working with us when our son was 4 months old and was an invaluable part of our family for over a year. Prudence worked with her previous family in Park Slope for 7 years and had a very strong routine and network there. Without knowing our neighborhood at all, within two weeks of starting with us, she had a full schedule of nearby activities and playdates, including library story times, open gym times, coffee house musical performances, and a wonderful group of new friends. Not to mention that my son was suddenly on a consistent nap schedule! Prudence put together his meals, bought him things he needed (she found the perfect waterproof shoes for him AND a great bucket for the sprinklers!), would sing and dance with him, and taught him so much - he was so full of joy every day with her. He gave her huge hugs and kisses every day when she left and couldn't wait for her to arrive every morning. We were heartbroken when my changing work schedule meant Prudence needed to find a new family. Every parent friend I see tells me how wonderful Prudence is and how lucky I was to have her take care of my son. She has been such a wonderful part of our family and I know how much she wants to find a family she can be with for many years. Prudence has three wonderful children and my son loved whenever he gets to see them. She was always extremely accommodating of our schedules and stayed longer or arrived earlier if needed. She is always willing to babysit in the evening as well. I can’t say enough wonderful things about her.
