Good Day Sunshine is an easy and conveniently located home daycare, just one block away from the Great River train station, two blocks from Sunrise Highway, and three blocks from the Southern State Parkway. We maintain a fun-loving and nurturing environment that provides all of the attention and care that your child needs and deserves. We are two mothers dedicated to making your children feel comfortable and at home. Fun and educational activities such as reading, arts and crafts, and puzzles will be made an every day occurrence with hopes of making them eager to learn without feeling pressured. Our beautiful back yard provides a child-friendly safe place to, "Shake those sillies out!" We are huge believers in living room dance parties and kid-friendly music will always be a big part of the experience here. Although our childcare facility will be structured and educational, we can not stress enough the importance of an enjoyable, stress-free, social experience! Age group: 0-12 Years A healthy snack and meal plan will be administered and we ask that any allergies or food aversions are addressed before enrollment. Our focus is serve nutritious and organic options from every important food group in a variation of meals and colors on every plate! Raven's Experience: I am certified through Suffolk County Childcare Council and have 5 years of childcare experience not including my time spent as a mother. I have experience with infants and toddlers as well as experience with school aged children. In my time spent as a child care provider, I also cared for a 7 year-old child with special needs. His care included and was not limited to, administering regular insulin injections and meal monitoring. Marilyn's Experience: I have 5 years of experience caring for children under the age of 7. I cared for a pre-schooled age child for two consecutive Summers as a high school student. I also have two half siblings, one the age of 5 and the other 6.
