Available Summer Childcare So, this is the deal. I am a father of two awesome kids and a graphic design student. I am hoping to be able to stay home with my kids (girl 10yrs old and boy 11yrs old) this summer. My idea is to provide childcare services this summer for a couple of kids in my kids’ age range so I can do this. I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking what I’d think, ‘I’m not leaving my kids with some guy.’ Well, wait a minute. Just take a closer look here. If I might say so myself, I consider myself to be a good father (I love being a parent) and my kids are kind, fair, and fun. My boy loves to build things and my daughter is horse crazy. Some benefits we can provide over summer childcare camps…. • It is comforts of home rather than a regimented day camp. It’s summer vacation after all! • We will have a pass for either Amazon Pool or Edgewood Pool. (I prefer Edgewood, but we can see what the kids prefer). • We will be going to the lake and taking our raft into the assigned swim areas. • Safe bike rides. • Jumping on my kids’ grandmother’s (who lives close by) trampoline. • While we would be doing healthy activities, we’d have time to play (in moderation) games like Mario Kart and Wii U Party. Maybe a little TV. Like being comfortable at home. • Reasonably healthy food. My kids like to cook. Yours wouldn’t have to if they didn’t want to, but if they want to… • Flexible schedule. We are early risers so we are available when you need childcare. • Unlike most summer camps, our schedule is the 4J school district schedule. We will start and stop with the 4J calendar. • We can make play dates in the park with your kids’ friends (again things they’d get to do if they were staying home). We could even take your child to things like piano lessons or whatever they have in their schedule. • I give kids choices (Do you guys want to go to the pool or for a bike ride?), not just decreed like summer camps. • My kids like to go to The Enchanted Forest every summer. We can all go there and ride rides till we puke. • Costs competitive to local summer camps. I really think it’d be like your kids don’t have to go to childcare in the summer.
