Sitter in Menlo Park, California

My name is Ikumi, I am Japanese, and I am currently staying in the Menlo Park -Atherton area until mid-August. I am hoping to work as a nanny for children above the age of 2, although I can take care of newborns as well. I have a BA in Cross-Cultural Studies from a Women's College in Japan and worked as a middle school teacher in Japan this past year. In addition, I have been a martial arts instructor for most of my life. I teach martial arts for 16 hours a week to students ranging from young children to adults. I am fluent in English, and I have an international driver's license (though I do not have my own car). I believe in allowing children to express themselves in their own way, while maintaining a high standard for rules and behavior. I'm a very passionate, strict but fair personality and I get along with kids very easily. I am fun and enthusiastic, and am energized by children. I will be able to work full-time and I have a place to stay in Menlo Park so I will not need to live in, unless specifically requested to do so.
