Three year old and 4/5 pre-k teacher needed ASAP

Teacher assistant (Part time/part year) Mustard Seed Preschool (185th Ave. and Rock Creek Blvd.) Our preschool has been in operation for over 31 years and we have an opening for a Teacher aide position which will begin ASAP. This position is working in our 3s class which is held on Tuesday and Thursday Morning from 900-1145... and in the 4/5 Pre-K classroom Monday through Thursday afternoons from --.... This is also potential for more hours that would be varying from week to week. Flexibility is a must for this position. Requirements: - Associates degree or Minimum two year experience teaching young children ages 3-5 -Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education -Current enrollment in Oregon's Criminal History Registry or ability to successful pass a background check by the state of Oregon -Current Food Handler's Certification, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days -Current CPR/First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days -Current Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Certification, -OR able to obtain each requirement within 30 days of hiring Preferred: -Familiar with Creative Curriculum Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans Interact with students individually and in groups Display professionalism in communication with students, parents, and co-workers Assist in the observation and documentation of student's needs and growth Assist in ensuring the physical and emotional safety of students Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities relevant to position
