Sitter in Lake Charles, Louisiana

Hello, I am MeLissa. I will be 50 in January. I have been taking care of children for the past 40 years. I come from a family of 4. I am the oldest and have 3 siblings. They are 8, 10, and 12 years younger than me. I played a vital part in raising them and my parents still think they listen better to me than anyone else.(lol) My mother was a stay at home mom. It was not uncommon to have 3 or 4 times more children at our home most of the time..... parents loved children and influenced us to to be the same way. My husband had one sibling so he was not as used to being around children as much as me..... quickly got use to it being married to me. There are 27 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. one of those is ours. So we have played the role of the fun aunt and uncle. We love family get-togethers. My husband and I stay busy with our son. He's our prize possession..... have been married 16 years and have gone to the same church for almost 30 years. We have worked together as Sunday school teachers as well as the Children's Church Ministry. I have a college degree in Sociology and son was born. I worked as a Child Counselor until my son was born. I homeschooled him from kindergarten through fourth grade. He wanted to go to public school to be with other children. It is still important to be available for our son so I choose not to return to office job. I enjoy being around children and so I am seeking a job doing child care. I have no problem answering any questions or providing references. I can understand the importance of safety when it comes to our sweet babies. My pay per client may differ from the hourly rate I have listed I just placed an amount there to fill the box- I that no two individuals are alike so I feel it is something we discuss in person. Please only serious inquiries.I have already dealt with scammers and people who wanted a sitter but never actually knew what they wanted. I love children and I love having them in my home.
