Sitter in Tuckahoe, New York

I have 20 years of experience working with children of all ages in a classroom setting as well as in their homes. I teach preschool full time and assist families with their sitter/mother's helper needs. I am a non-smoker, like pets and willing to jump hoops if it makes your child laugh and have a good time. Safety and fun are key factors. As an educator/sitter, I am immune to it all. Spills, siblings arguing, teasing, dogs barking, you name it, I can handle it. I am mindful and respectful of routines, consistency and those extra snacks before bedtime. I will come with my bag of fun things as a starter, then fill it with the things they like ( Thomas train, books, play dough, crafts etc.). I am CPR/First Aid trained and carry a mini first aid bag.... in case we are outside and need a quick patching. I am single, have an independent 21 yr. old daughter in college, no pets, no drama, and no time constraints during the summer months, The school year I am available after 4 pm.. I am seeking a sitter/mother's helper part time position including an as needed basis or a one time basis. No full time nanny job or live in...possibility of a weekend stay is satisfactory. I can assist with school holidays, vacation week, and anything for the summer. I am not looking to transport children in my car, unless one is provided ( insurance purposes). I am not limiting locations, but will not travel more than 2 hours unless it is at least a six hour time frame needed . I will never leave your home in a mess, will tidy up messes prior to my arrival, light laundry and meals. I feel one of my greatest assets and have been told is my sense of humor. I take things serious, but keep it light. I like to keep smiles on all faces, make little ones feel good about themselves and look forward to my return. A one big play date while the parents are busy or out. All is not set in stone, flexibility is the key.
