June 7, 2018 To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Elissa Ramos. I have known Elissa for three years now. She was a student in my Integrated Math 2 class. Elissa showed such great competence in my class coupled with an amazing ability to explain her reasoning and the patience to help others that I sought her out to become an instructional aide in that class for the next school year. Elissa readily accepted this role, and she performed it with grace and patience. In fact, I was saddened when her rigorous schedule the following school year did not allow her the time to be an instructional aide in my class again. Elissa lights up any room she is in, but she does so without even realizing it herself because her personality and genuine kindness makes others feel important. Elissa is what I would call a leader by example. She models how to be a good student by being prepared and focused. When working, she stays focused on the task at hand but will also take time to help others to understand also. As a student, Elissa strives to always do her best and seeks out help when necessary, utilizing her resources flawlessly. When she notices other students off task, she does not criticize or embarrass, but instead, politely reminds a student of what they should be doing, finesse that few people have mastered. Elissa earns impeccable grades while also balancing her academic life with various extracurricular activities, like band, soccer, and dance. .
