Children have always had a special place in my heart, and switched careers to work with Children. I want to make a positive influence on each child I care for and their family. I encourage self-esteem, self-respect, and want to build confidence in children. Children are our future and if you want emotional, responsible, moral and social healthy adults it all starts on the home front. and I am the person offering to help you achieve this goal while your children are in my care. My personality and qualities are: dependable, responsible, moral, honest, kind, musicial, imagitvie, and creative. I display these qualities to children so they will imitate them. Every child needs to know they are an important member of their family and to society and each member of the family has a responsibility to do their part in family life, by doing chores, supporting each other, and respecting their things, and their families' things. Reading to children, playing music, rocking and cuddling infants, and young children, playing pretend, role playing, puzzles, arts and crafts, going on outings to the park, zoo, museums, parades, riding their bikes, blowing bubbles, playing in the sand or snow, building blanket forts, and encouraging what ever interests the child are my goals. I believe tv should have parental controls and video games should be limited and rated G., and board games played instead to encouarge more bonding time. I am an animal lover, so pets are fine, will do laundry, errans, cooking, drive children to activities, and help with homework.. Since my retirement I have taken care of 3 families, I am cpr/first aid qualified, have child care and character references. I have been marrred for 30 years, and we have 2 college educated daughters with successful careers.
