Sitter in Cottonwood
Hi folks! My name is Aimee, and I recently moved to the area (Lake California in Cottonwood) to be closer to family. Before we waste each other's time, I'll throw it out there. I have a three month old son that I would need to bring along with me most days. (Sometimes on daddy's days off he could stay home, but I actually really love the idea of being able to socialize him with other children in that manner) I understand that this is unconventional, and not for everyone, but I have faith that the perfect fit is out there. I am located in Lake California, Cottonwood, as I said, but am willing to travel to Red Bluff, Anderson, and Redding. Because I feel so strongly about who I do or do not leave my child with, I understand how important it is to find the perfect fit, when it comes to personality, nurturing, ability to respect and than implement your choice of parenting style... So much more goes into good Childcare than people tend to realize. A little about myself; I grew up with 17 cousins, many of them younger, and often cared for/babysat/helped with them. I have experience with everything from infants to teens. I have also nannied in the past, and am familiar with alternative/select styles of parenting. I have a passion for cooking, and love to be able to help kids learn the awesomeness that is creating fun, healthy snacks and meals, a long with the art of cleaning up as you go! I come from a large family as I stated above, and am used to the chaos that can often come with handling multiple children. I have a valid driver's license, good references, and am more than willing to jump through whatever hoops you choose to help you feel at ease with your children in my care. I am a firm believer in treating children like the human beings that they are already developing into, not just treating them like cookie cutter entities. Each child is different, and has different needs, and should be treated as such! A nanny/sitter that does not understand that, in my opinion, should not be in the business of children. I am all about finding a good healthy balance and believe that should be applied to all walks of life! I am currently staying with my parents while my fiance, son, and I are getting situated and working on getting a place of our own, so the care would need to be provided in your home. I have a valid driver's license, and know CPR and basic first aid, and would be willing to get at least a CPR certification if you like. My free time is spent learning about any and all the random things I can, cooking, and really, just laughing and loving with my family. My fiance works at a local horse ranch teaching horseback ridong lessons, and our son, even at such a young age just adores getting to go and see the horses. We are definitely animal lovers, so if you have any... That's a plus in our book! My son is breastfed, and it would be awesome if you and your child(ren) were comfortable with that, but I can understand why you wouldn't be, and would be more than happy to bring him along some bottles for feeding instead. Based on my son being able to come with me, my availability is completely open. Anything from early mornings to graveyard shifts if that is what is needed. Rates can be discussed based on children's ages, bow many there will be, the hours, and the duties expected. (more than willing to do light cleaning as I go, or even heavy duty housekeeping while the children nap or are preoccupied. I have mastered the art of wearing my son while upkeeping our own home.) Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you! As I stated above, I know that this situation is not exactly the norm, but I also know that it would be the perfect fit for the right family.
