My name is Sharon. My calling in life is caring for people. My father was a paraplegic. My parents was divorced I moved in with him when I was in high school to help care for him until he died at the early age of 49 I loved my Father so much and was happy that I was there for him. One of my first jobs was working in a nursing home in Troup Tx. While I was still in high school after graduating I continue to work there. I loved my job because I cared so deeply for my patients and my patients and their families cared for me also. I got married and moved to Austin where I started to work for a State School with mentally disabled children it was the perfect job for me because I felt like I was doing what I was called for. I worked there until the facility closed. In 2004 my mother was diagnosed with cancer. I was then driving 18wheelers doing well financially however, I quit my job to move my mother from Austin to Flint TX with my family and cared for her in our home until she died in 2006. I was a caregiver to both parents so I understand the need for families to have a break from the constant role of being the caregiver. I am compassionate understanding the needs of others.
