Wise Little Owls Learning Center is focused on providing the highest-quality care for your child. We do everything we can to exceed your expectations and meet your child's needs. With a diverse program, your child will enjoy a positive, smoke-free environment where the emphasis is on having fun, learning and growing. Our goal is to prepare your child for formal education in a loving, nurturing manner. We align our program and curriculum to begin preparing your child for the Common Core Learning Standard (CCLS) that New York State has adopted ensuring an easy transition from daycare to Kindergarten. Our group time includes: Language Arts- reading comprehension skills, alphabet, letter recognition, word association, matching, colors, shapes Numbers- recognition, counting, more/less Fine Motor Skills- writing, drawing, cutting Social/Life Skills- sharing, etiquette, self-esteem building, conflict resolution, stranger danger, dressing, buttoning, zippering Arts and Crafts- creative coloring, painting, pasting, paper and foam crafts Music- singing, marching, dancing/movement Circle Time- reading, listening to stories To enhance our diversity, we also offer special events: EX: Friday afternoon at the movies where children will watch age-appropriate movies complete with popcorn and treats, Fire Safety Week, where a member of the fire department comes in to talk to children about fire safety in a positive demeanor, Holiday Concerts, Parties and so much more! At the end of each day, children will be responsible for helping to put toys away, cleaning up the play area and getting their belongs ready to leave day care, thereby teaching children personal responsibility...and every day each child is rewarded with stickers or tattoos for positive action that he/she exhibited during throughout the day.
