I have been caring for children since I was a young girl helping my grandmother in the church daycare with newborn babies. When I was 15 I started to babysit regularly for about 10 different families, children aging from newborns to 11 years. When I was a senior in high school I had a full time nanny position for over a year with two children ages 6 and 11. I was responsible for; picking the kids up from school, helping them with their homework, taking them to their after school activities and, entertaining them until their parents got home. As well as some light housekeeping and preparing dinner. During this time I would also babysit for families who needed a babysitter for a date night or other emergencies. I would prepare the kids dinner, give them their bath if they needed one that day and then tucked them in with a bedtime story. I would also try to get the kids to go outside as much as possible and always read books with them over the summer so they would stay engaged in learning! I have been a babysitter and a nanny for many years, this past summer however I was a camp counselor or a leader as we were called. I worked for a Fairfax county summer day camp, ages 5 to 10, for over three months. About 150 kids went to the camp everyday and each leader would be directly responsible for 10 to 15 kids. The day camp also included regular fieldtrips to fun places, a weekly trip to a waterpark, and fun daily activities that the leaders would come up with. I’m a fun, adventurous, and crafty person as well as a team player and I am always flexible so I’m able to make you and your children’s lives easier! I will also make sure to keep your children entertained, safe, and on schedule! I would love the opportunity to be considered for your team! I am very experienced and have a passion for kids! I am currently living in Northern Virginia but I am moving to Denver by December or even sooner.
