Aloha! My name is Mary. I am a 61-year-old GrannyMom. I have 4 children ranging in age from 43 to 13 - two of whom are still living at home. I have had my own home-based business (medical transcription) for 30 years. I worked as a medical assistant for 25 years in Pediatrics as well Family Practice, General Medicine, Oncology and Orthopedics. I have also acted as a licensed foster mom for 15 years caring for newborns up through 19 and 20 year-olds, many of whom had special needs. I love interacting with children of all ages. I believe that children should be our priority in this oft times crazy world! Some say I am a "hippie" as my usual uniform is jeans and tie-dyed t-shirts. While I do believe that children should be free-thinking and nurtured with love, I also believe they need - and want- structure and boundaries.
