Hello, My name is Shakema M. I am currently available for weekend or date nights until May/ then full days I have extensive experience in working with children in a professional capacity. My experience includes working in nurseries and also babysitting and teaching on a private basis. I am currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in infant and toddler, due to my love of working with children. For the past several years, I have served as a babysitter/ assistants to numerous families and centers—for which I am happy to provide references—including children from infancy through age 11. From preparing healthy snacks and changing diapers to playing at the park and building forts, I am enthusiastic and supportive in every aspect of caring for children. Additionally, I have experience helping young children through separation anxiety situations, using distraction and refocusing techniques to help kids through those tough emotions. I enjoy working with children and find it to be an extremely rewarding experience. I feel that I have all the necessary qualities that make a good babysitter. I make sure that when I am working I take great care and exercise all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the children. I also make sure the children are engaged in interesting and educational activities. while providing fun engaging activities if needed. I am multi-skilled and happy to teach your children and help with homework as well during the time I spend with them. I am also happy to tidy up after them and cook for them. I also pride myself on being very respectful to your home and house rules while I am working. I am currently available for weekends and date nights also after school prgram pick up.
