My name is Mora and I'm an Adult Protective Service Worker here in Barrie. I work primarily with adults with developmental disabilities and provide case management - helping them to coordinate resources and access services in the community, with the goal of improving their overall wellbeing. Before that, I was a supervisor at a homeless shelter, so I have plenty of hands on experience with not only caretaking, but emergency response. I also have experience with medication and Epi-Pen administration. I have a university and college education, and feel fulfilled when I'm helping vulnerable members of my community. I grew up in a large family and looked after my younger siblings. Since then, I have provided childcare to a family in London with a 5-month-old infant, and have babysat several of my friend's children. I have always been around children and really cherish the opportunity to care for them. I'm very experienced with cleaning and housekeeping, and light cooking, and can definitely provide these services if you need. I also have a small dog - so caring for your pets is not only okay, but totally welcomed! I also love doing arts and crafts, as well as playing soccer and road hockey, if this is something your child is interested in. I also love to read and would be happy to do this with your child (although I realize not every child is a bookworm like me). I have a current Police Vulnerable Sector's check I can provide; as well as a valid CPR and First Aid certificate. I do have my own transportation (2015 Ford Escape), as well as a G license, and would feel absolutely comfortable (given car seats are provided) if you requested I drive during my shifts with your children. I am available for short-notice babysitting on weeknights (after 4:30PM) as well as most weekends.
