Thanks for reading a bit about me! I’m an artist looking for part time/flexible hours in the NW and Bowness area. This is my profile geared towards nannying but the content still transferable! I have been providing care for Calgary families over the last four years with exceptional feedback. My ‘parenting style’ is focuses a lot on self-responsibility. Nagging or yelling is a very rare instance because my goal is to help empower kids to make age appropriate mistakes and learn from them. Discussing and asking questions are my main go-to’s in terms of discipline. Time outs happen but are very rare. My goal is to love and care for all kids, and I would be honoured to get to know yours. Some Credentials Include: •Child Care level one (daycare) • Standard and Advanced First Aid • Alberta Food handling • High FIVE Outdoor learning for children • level 1 ski teaching certification •babysitting course (10 years ago) • Clean Criminal Record Check -TESOL language course for teaching English Other experience: •Nannying for a collective 4.5 years •Kids ceramics classes •Win sport camps •ski coaching • daycare •occasional babysitting My goals when developing relationships with kids include: -Providing for physical needs such as healthy food, staying safe, hygiene etc. -Tending to emotional needs such as being heard, feeling cared for, learning how to communicate. -Providing strong boundaries to help develop a sense of right and wrong/ internalize self discipline. -Nurture the creative spirit -Enhance natural curiosity -Develop discipline through schoolwork or other age appropriate tasks -Learning how to socialize (covid depending) As an artist, I had taught all over Alberta before developing a severe allergy to my main medium of acrylic paint. Now I am focusing on developing digital art as well as curriculum for emotional intelligence through art classes. I have recently published an ebook that has just been moved over to print, and I am working on multiple other art projects that makes my heart full of joy, even through these tough times.
