Hello! My name is Gina, aka Miss Gi-Gi, I am the proud owner and director of A Bright Beginning Childcare. This program is committed to meeting the needs of young children and teaching them in ways that are appropriate to their developmental stage. ABBC provides professional care, fun learning activities and the advantage of a small group in a caring and safe home setting. We strive to help children develop self esteem, a positive attitude toward learning, independence, fine and large motor skills, social skills, cooperation, curiosity about the world, personal initiative, and effective language skills. We respect parents as the most important provider of care and nurturing, and believe parents and caregivers are partners in children's care and development. I have earned a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University and Associate's Degree’s in Early Childhood Development and Liberal Arts. I am also certified as a Medical First Responder and in CPR. Over the 20 years of experience I've had working with young children, the most important thing I've learned is that if children are guided with love and patience they will naturally learn. This allows them to create concrete building blocks that are essential for all of life's successes.
