Hello, my name is Sarah. I have two sisters and four nephews. I come from a family of five that values family time. I love photography and almost any craft or art project. Additionally, I love taking children on outings such as walks or to parks. I also love traveling. My previous childcare experience starts with working in my church's nursery (ages 0-3) since I was 9 and continues with my four nephews current ages 19, 14, 9, and 6. In the past, starting when my youngest nephew was about 9-months-old, I have babysat all four of my nephews by myself, which may not seem like a big deal until you factor in that the 19-year-old is nonverbal autistic and the 9-year-old is verbal autistic. This adds a layer of difficulty which makes any other combination of children seem like a breeze. I have also been a part-time nanny for a 6, 5, and 2-year-old, a part-time babysitter for a 3 and 15-month-old, a part-time babysitter for an 11-year-old with special needs, a part-time nanny for a 6-month-old, a nanny for an 8, 5, and 2-year-old, and I have singlehandedly cared for infant triplets from 4-months-old to 8-months-old. My role in children's lives have been very different, but I have loved each one! I am currently CPR certified and first aid trained for pediatric and adult. I have completed two certificates at Northern Virginia Community College one of which is a Career Studies Certificate in Early Childhood Development the other is a certificate in Early Childhood Development. Additionally, I am two classes away from an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development.
