Hello, my name is Katie! I am 24 years old and I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator. I have many years of experience working with children of all ages. While in high school, I volunteered at an at-home daycare working with children ages 0-3, then in the summer I volunteered as a camp counselor at an overnight camp working with school-age children. After I graduated high school, I went to George Brown College and earned my Early Childhood Education diploma. Throughout the ECE program, I completed four field placements, again with children of all ages. Since then, I have been working in a child care center. I was in the toddler room for most of my time there but in May 2021, I went down to part-time, on the supply teacher list and now I get to work with all of the different aged children in the center. The reason I went down to part-time was that I chose to further my education. I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership degree program. I am looking for a part-time occasional job, preferably evenings and/or weekends. Minimum 3-hour shift. I am delighted I have chosen a career that embraces my passion for working with and teaching children. I look forward to the opportunity of taking care of your children!
