Experianed caregiver (10 years) with a passion for youth and fostering ideas! I have a degree from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Art History and Visual Culture with a minor in Museum Studies, and will be going to the University of Leicester for graduate school for Fall 2019! I'm going to get my Masters in Museum Studies so I can advocate for the disability community and make institutions more accessible for those in the community. I was so inspired to make a change that I took American Sign Language, and know basic American Sign Langauge fingerspelling. I've been working with K-12 children since I was ten, from working in my mom's elementary school classroom to being a junior counselor at the Howell Nature Center from 10-15 years old. I have over 2,000 hours of community service, mostly working in local elementary schools around the area! In my professional life, I used to teach art to K-12 students at a local studio before leaving for college. Since college, I have been an Educational Intern, mostly with K-12 students, at the National Museum of African Art Smithsonian Institution, I've lived in Greece as a Research Assistant working at a dig site, and spent last summer living in the heart of London working the British National Army Museum! I have both CPR and First Aid Training from MSU. In my personal life, I'm from a close-knit family and the oldest of 4 kids. I have two brothers and a sister, 19, 17, and 7.
