I love what I do and that's something that not many people can say! But I truly love working with children! On any given day I get to be a teacher, best friend, nurturer, explorer the list is endless really. I try to engage learning through daily activities wether that be a trip to the zoo or a scavenger hunt through the park. I feel like kids learn best when they are able to interact with the environments around them. I love coloring, painting, picnics, music, crafting, building towers, puppets, going for walks, I could go on for pages. Basically I am a big kid at heart, but aren't we all really! I currently work as a nanny and take my 17 month old son with me but have decided to peruse in home daycare at my residence! I have over 7 years of experience primarily with toddlers and infants but have also worked with twins and school aged children. At most I have had six children under my personal care and would like to stick with a small number to ensure an over abundance of attention for each child. My home is extremely clean!!! We have a huge playroom, extensive children's library, fenced backyard with water table and every outdoor toy you can imagine, and 2 guest rooms for undisturbed naps. I have worked with children with autism as well as a young man with kidney failure who used a feeding tube. I have training in infant massage, infant sign language and have been coached in therapeutic techniques to encourage rolling, sitting, crawling and overall development.
